What's a Private Pilot Certificate?
Commonly referred to as a Private Pilot License (PPL), a Private Pilot Certificate is a type of pilot certification that allows the holder to act as pilot in command of an aircraft privately (not for hire or compensation).
With a private pilot certificate, you gain the privilege to operate aircraft for personal and recreational purposes. This means you can fly for leisure, travel, or just explore the skies at your own discretion. It's the foundation upon which you can build various flying experiences.

Step 1: Medical Exam
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requires all pilots to meet certain medical standards to ensure that they are physically and mentally fit. We work closely with certified aviation medical examiners and will be able to link you up with an Aviation Medical Examiner (AME) who can assist you in navigating the examination requirements seamlessly.
Our experienced team of instructors will guide you through the exam process, explain what the exam entails, and what conditions may disqualify you from obtaining a pilot's license. We'll provide you with tips on how to prepare for the exam, including what to bring, what to expect on the day, and how to deal with any potential issues that may arise.
Step 2: Written Exam
The written exam is the second step towards obtaining your pilot's license. It covers a wide range of topics, including regulations, airspace, weather, aerodynamics, and aircraft performance. The exam is designed to test your knowledge and ensure that you have a comprehensive understanding of what it takes to be a safe and competent pilot. Step 3: Flight Exam
The flight exam, also known as the checkride, is the final step towards obtaining your license. It is designed to assess your ability to operate an aircraft safely and competently in various flight scenarios. The exam consists of both oral and practical components and is conducted by a certified FAA examiner. During the oral portion, you'll be tested on your knowledge of aircraft systems, flight planning, regulations, and aeronautical decision making (ADM). In the practical portion, you'll demonstrate your flying skills by performing maneuvers, takeoffs, landings, and emergency procedures.
